What is DAPPA DAPPA Inc (Dog Walkers and Professional Pet Minders Association) is the umbrella organisation for professional dog walkers and companion animal minders in NSW. It seeks to promote high standards of conduct amongst its members, as a means of protecting the industry's reputation and autonomy.
The organisation provides a united voice for the industry when engaging with pertinent regulatory bodies.
DAPPA was founded as the result of a perceived need for tolerance, understanding, acceptance and care of companion animals, in a crowded urban environment.
It is committed to having a voice at the highest levels of authority, to ensure that any relevant laws are shaped by considerations of best practice in companion animal care, and that they are mindful of the needs of our industry as a whole.
When necessary, DAPPA takes disciplinary action against members whose actions compromise the standards of the Association.
Our core objectives DAPPA promotes high standards of conduct in the care of companion animals entrusted to our members by owners.
It speaks with a single voice in negotiations with government and local authorities on matters relating to the best interests of companion animals and their DAPPA-accredited minders.

The committee meets quarterly at a central location in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, and our members enjoy year-round communication through informal contact, networking, website postings, general meetings and an annual general meeting. Information about events is posted on this website.
Achievements Through the efforts of our committee, DAPPA enjoys a reputation for tackling key issues relating to self‑regulation and representation in the community.
